ESG 101: The What, Why, and How for Business Today

OVERVIEW

This course focuses on the fundamentals of sustainability frameworks and their application to business operations and decision-making. It also provides professionals with an understanding of how ESG impacts both the company and the broader environment.

OBJECTIVES

At the end of the course, participants should be able to:

  • Explain ESG and its relevance to business sustainability

  • Recognise national and global ESG frameworks

  • Identify the three scopes of GHG emissions

  • Adopt simple ESG practices at workplace

PARTICIPANTS

This course is designed for professionals with minimal or general knowledge of ESG, offering a foundational understanding of sustainable management and ESG principles.

METHODOLOGY

The course uses interactive training methods including interactive presentation slides, group discussions and/or presentation as well as quizzes.

DURATION

The course will be conducted within 8 hours with 2 short breaks and lunch break of 1 hour.
